Mountain Ready is for anyone seeking a solid foundation before heading out independently. Steele Summit covers the essentials: map reading and compass bearings, mountain weather forecasts and planning accordingly, choosing the right kit, route decisions, and pacing yourself over your chosen distance and elevation.
Consultations are one hour to allow time for questions and explore your interests. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of what you’re capable of, how to plan and prepare for your next adventure, and what skills and knowledge are required to become a self-sufficient mountain walker.
